Today marks a very special day. The birthday of an angel girl that has left an indelible mark on my life! When Evie had her heart surgery, we grew to know and love the family two beds down from us in ICU. They had a beautiful baby girl named Annabelle who also had a porcelain heart. Annabelle's devoted mother had a bow in her baby's hair hours after birth. She adorned her sweet princess with monogrammed blankets and cuddly lovies. Let me tell you, its easy to get overwhelmed by the tubes and wires and lines and monitors that cover these heart babies. But Rebecca saw past that and truly celebrated the gift that this little fragile life was.

Just shy of two months, precious Annabelle passed away.

With every excuse to be angry, bitter and grieve, Annabelle's mother instead, birthed something beautiful out of an unbearable loss. Rebecca launched "Annabelle Baskets" barely a month after loosing her daughter. Families are being blessed and learning to celebrate the lives of their wee ones in the midst of such uncertainty.
